Refund & Returns Policy
Consumer Guarantees
When you purchase goods or services from Yuniq Technologies, they come with automatic guarantees that cannot be excluded under the ACL.
For Goods:
- They must be of acceptable quality (safe, lasting, and with no faults).
- They must be fit for any purpose you told us about.
- They must match any description or sample provided.
For Services:
- They must be provided with acceptable care and skill or technical knowledge.
- They must be fit for the purpose or give the results that you and our business agreed to.
- They must be delivered within a reasonable time when there is no agreed end date.
Major Failures
A major failure occurs when a good or service falls significantly short of a consumer guarantee.
What constitutes a major failure?
- You would not have purchased the good or service had you known about the extent of the problem.
- The good or service is substantially unfit for its normal purpose and cannot easily be made fit within a reasonable time.
- The good is unsafe, or the service creates an unsafe situation.
Your remedies for a major failure: - Goods: You have the right to choose between a replacement, a full refund, or keeping the goods and receiving compensation for the drop in value.
- Services: You can choose to cancel the contract and receive a refund for the unconsumed portion, or keep the contract and seek compensation for the difference in value.
Minor Failures
If the problem with the good or service is not a major failure and can be fixed within a reasonable time, Yuniq Technologies will choose to either:
- Repair the good.
- Replace the good.
- Provide a refund.
- Fix the service free of charge.
Change of Mind
Under the ACL, we are not legally obligated to provide a refund or replacement if you simply change your mind, find the product or service cheaper elsewhere, or decide you no longer need the product/service.
For custom-made items (such as specialized 3D-printed designs or configured hardware) and completed IT services, change-of-mind returns are strictly not accepted.
Exceptions to Guarantees
Consumer guarantees do not apply if you:
- Misused a product in any way that caused the problem.
- Discovered the fault after the goods were reasonably expected to be worn out or depleted.
- Were made aware of a fault before you purchased the product.
- Attempted to repair or modify the hardware, network, or product yourself or through a third party without our authorization.
How to Claim a Refund or Return
To initiate a claim regarding a faulty good or service, please follow these steps:
- Stop using the good or service immediately if a fault is identified.
- Contact us via our official support channels to explain the issue. Please provide your invoice, receipt, or proof of purchase.
- Assessments: We may need to assess the product or review the service logs to determine the nature of the failure. For hardware or physical goods, you may be required to return the item to our Pakenham office.
- Resolution: Once assessed, we will notify you of the outcome and provide the appropriate remedy in accordance with the ACL.
Shipping Costs for Returns: If a physical product is found to have a major or minor fault under the ACL, Yuniq Technologies will cover the reasonable costs of returning the item. If the product is found not to have a problem, you may be required to pay the transport or inspection costs.
